Conventional Means:

Sharing the Word
Bible study

Non-conventional Means:

Discussions on “hot topics” such as peer pressure, music, fashion and sexuality
Practical exercises in form of everyday scenarios
Informal meetings in the evenings with guest speakers (members from other units of the church and also accredited youth workers/pastors)
Drama workshops in conveying relevant messages and importance of worship through music

ACTIVITIES:

In terms of using a holistic approach in building the members of Vine Teens (VT), each VT member will be encouraged to build on their gifts and interests with opportunities to use them in ministering through concerts and events to their fellow peers and also the church at large.

There will be an annual Summer Camp, which will culminate all the discussions and bible study in a practical approach using drama, presentations and other practical ways to summarise. Also this will create an avenue for other practical topics such as subject choices and career options. Other aspect will involve sports and games, cooking workshops and other skills of interest.

AIMS & OBJECTIVE:

To equip the teenagers (13-18) in fulfilling the vision of the church “empowering lives, building society”
To use conventional and non-conventional means in fulfilling mission statements of both Vine Teens and the church at large
To use a holistic approach in meeting the needs of this “sensitive group”
To equip them to fulfil the great commission to their peers by providing avenues such as informal meeting settings, various concerts and events addressing everyday challenges.
